Budget:
The Jungle Book Budget is estimated to be around $125 Million worldwide which is roughly half of that of Batman vs Superman.
Records:
1. 3rd Highest Opening for a hollywood movie in India ever behind Fast and Furious 7 and Avengers 2.
2. The Jungle Book is also the highest opening for a hollywood movie in 2016 as it did better than Batman vs Superman.
3. This is also biggest opening for an animated hollywood movie in India beating last week's Kung Fu Panda
4. This is also the 2nd highest opening in India in 2016 after Airlift and better than all other hindi movies released in 2016.
Azhar Day Wise Box Office Collection
It is now second 100 Crore movie of 2016 after Airlift.
This is the first time that a hollywood movie has crossed 15 Cr in a day mark.
This is also the highest wednesday ever for a hollywood movie in India.
The Hindi dubbed version has done very well in hindi heartland with families patronizing the movie in a big way.
The Jungle book has created a record by being all time second highest first weekend for a hollywood movie in India after Fast and furious 7.
The Official Studio gross for Furious 7 in its opening weekend in India was $8.35 Million but was a 4 day weekend.
Lack of a decent hindi movie meant that The Jungle Book had a very strong opening in India in hindi belt however Sardar Gabbar Singh the big telugu release meant that the opening in Andhra/ Telangana was effected.
Jungle Book has a huge brand recall in India due to the TV series which was dubbed in hindi.
