Director S.S. Rajamouli has described the film as a "James Bond or Indiana Jones film with Indian roots". It is expected to be a high-octane spectacle with elaborate action sequences and a blend of adventure, science fiction, and mythological undertones.An official title and concept video are expected to be revealed at a special event on November 15, 2025.
The film is being mounted on a staggering budget estimated to be around ₹1000 crore (approximately $120 million USD), making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced. Mahesh Babu and S.S. Rajamouli have reportedly opted for a profit-sharing agreement with the producers, foregoing high upfront fees to ensure that maximum funds are available for the film's grand production quality.
The makers are collaborating with international stunt teams, Oscar-winning technicians, and high-end VFX studios to achieve a global action- adventure standard.
Rajamouli is focusing on shooting in authentic, natural locations rather than relying solely on studio blue/green screens to enhance the film's realistic feel. Filming locations have included the dense forests of Odisha (India) and the vast landscapes of Kenya (Africa), including the Masai Mara, Naivasha, Samburu, and

It is a globe-trotting jungle adventure inspired by the Indiana Jones franchise. His character is also rumored to be inspired by Lord Hanuman and the search for the mythical Sanjeevani Booti (a legendary herb with healing properties from the epic Ramayana). The core narrative reportedly blends Indian history and mythology, with the spiritual city of Kashi (Varanasi) playing a significant role, which is being partially recreated in Hyderabad for filming. The adventure then moves to real-world locations, primarily in the forests and national parks of Africa (such as the Serengeti in Tanzania and Kenya). Prithviraj Sukumaran is confirmed to play the main villain, a formidable character named "Kumbha," who is depicted with a menacing look and a high-tech, futuristic mechanical chair with robotic arms.
