Zero is written and directed by Aanand L Rai, Who previously directed and produced many super hit films like Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu: Returns, Raanjhanaa & many Others. Zero is set to release on 21 December, 2018.
Shah Rukh Khan's film with Aanand L Rai title was announced by 52-year-old superstar in a teaser of sorts on 1 January, 2018. The much-anticipated film which will see Shah Rukh in a never-seen-before avatar, and also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, both of who are his co-stars of 2012 movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Which was directed by Yash Chopra and produced by Aditya Chopra.
Zero has been produced by Gauri Khan along with the director under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment & Colour Yellow Production. The film is touted to be one of the most expensive Bollywood films.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Imtiaz Ali directorial Jab Harry Met Sejal co-star with Anushka Sharma, which released on 04 August 2017. The film did not perform as expected and hence, there are now immense expectations latched onto Zero.
Shah Rukh Khan's character in Zero will be three feet tall, and VFX is being used to make him and the other 'dwarf' characters look realistic. Zero revolves around Bauua, a vertically challenged man essayed by SRK. According to the makers, it is a story that celebrates life.
On Thursday 01 November, 2018, The makers of the film unveiled two posters. While the first poster features Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in a romantic pose, the second poster featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma has the actors in a jovial mood.
