Sita Ramam is an Indian Telugu language period drama romantic film. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Ashwini Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt Under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, And Swapna Cinema. Dulquer Salmaan, Rashmika Mandanna & Mrunal Thakur's romantic film Sita Ramam is one of the most anticipated films in the South. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, this romantic drama against the backdrop of war follows the love story between a soldier played by Dulquer Salmaan and his lady love, played by Mrunal Thakur. Rashmika Mandanna will also be playing a very significant role as Afreen in Sita Ramam. Sita Ramam is the Hey Sinamika actor’s second Tollywood film after the 2018 biopic, Mahanti, which was a blockbuster hit.

Backed by Ashwini Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner of Swapna Cinema, the movie is being presented by Vyjayanthi. Sumanth, Gautam Menon, and Prakash Raj will also essay secondary roles in Sita Ramam. The film will feature camerawork by PS Vinod and Vishal Chandrasekhar is rendering the music.

The soundtrack is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar after his third collaboration with director Hanu Raghavapudi after Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha and Padi Padi Leche Manasu. The audio rights were acquired by Sony Music India. The first single titled "Oh Sita Hey Rama" was sung by S. P. Charan and Ramya Behara and it was released on 9 May 2022.

In 1965 , Mujahideen,A Pakistani Extremist Who Doesn't Like The Brotherlyhood Relationship Of Kasmiri Muslim And Hindus Wants To Seperate Them. He Strongly Believes That The Indian Army Is The Important Reason For This Unity. So He Brainwashes Some Teenagers And Sends Them To Kashmir And Advices Them To Live In Disguise To Make His Evil Plans Work.
In 1985, Afreen is a Pakistani-based rabble-rouser in London, who dislikes anything about India Sets Fire To A Car Of A Indian Philanthropist As A Revenge For The Burning Of Pakistan's National Flag.Her College Management Asks Her To Apologize To The Person. But Afreen Doesn't Like To Say Sorry To A Indian.The Person Gives Her Two Choices:One To Give Him 1 Million ( 10 Lakhs ) As Compensation Or Going To Jail. She Accepts To Give Him A Million And Goes to Pakistan to meet her grandfather Pakistan Army Brigadier Tariq. But,Her Grandfather Was Already Dead.He Wrote A Letter To Afreen In Which He Asks Her To Deliver A Letter Which He Can't, Written 20 Years Ago By A Indian Lieutenant Ram To His Loved One, Sita Mahalakshmi In India. Though relucant at first, Afreen agrees to deliver the letter in order to inherit Tariq's Wealth.
She Goes To Hyderabad In Search Of Sita. She Was Accompanied By Balaji, Her College Senior. She Reaches The Address Which Is A Ladies Hostel Now. She Asks Subramaniyam Who Has Been Working There For More Than 20 Years Ago About Sita. He Tells Afreen That The Hostel Was The Royal Palce Of Nawab Of Hyderabad Once And Adds On That No One Named As Sita Was Not There Before 20 Years Ago. Clueless Afreen Doesn't Know How to Find Sita Without Any Details.Then She Had An Idea. She Goes In Search Of Ram And She Gets The Address Of A Military Officer Who Worked With Ram In Kashmir
Ram, along with another soldier are captured by the Pakistan Army where they are tortured mercilessly to reveal the Indian Army base coordinates in Kashmir, but the Army General takes pity on Ram and takes care of the Indian soldiers. The Pakistan soldiers uses brute force where one of the soldiers reveals about the information in exchange for his freedom, but Ram is hanged. Before his execution, Ram writes a letter to Sita and tells the Army General to deliver it to Sita.
In 1985, Afreen learns that the Army General is in fact Tariq and that the child, whose life was saved by Ram is actually Afreen herself. Afreen delivers the letter to Sita, where she learns about Ram's innocence and also finds a newspaper clipings about Princess Noor Jahan being in love with a common man, which makes her realize that Ram knows her true identity as Noor Jahan. Sita manages to prove Ram's innocence and restores his honour in the Indian Army.
