Ayushmann Khurrana replaces Emraan in Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab
Abhishek Chaubey, director behind films like Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya will be directing Udta Punjab which is supposedly a thriller which goes on floors next year.
There were reports a few days back that Emraan Hashmi was being considered for the part. But a source close to the production house tells us, “Emraan was never part of the film. Ayushmann has been finalised for the lead along with Shahid.”
Apparently, Ayushmann was so keen to be part of the project that he has already started work on it. “He got a narration for the film and is excited about it. While he has already done the look test for the character, he is yet to sign the documents,” says a source close to the actor
