Hit or Flop:
Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan Kapoor and Sons has very good economics and should cross 40 Cr to be called a hit.
As Per Producers Colors have promised 15 Cr for satellite rights and other rights have also brought in 6 Cr leaving recovery of 16 Cr as share needed from theatrical busineess.

The big Metros Delhi, Mumbai , Bangalore,Gurgaon , Noida, Pune have really taken to Kapoor and Sons and are contributing majorly to collections.
Fawad Khan has good appeal in Pakistan, Gulf and in UK with significant pakistani population and so his presence is expected to boost the overseas.
First Week Box Office Collections of Kapoor and Sons are 2nd Highest of 2016 after Airlift and ahead of Neerja
Kapoor and Sons First Weekend is Second Highest opening weekend of 2016 after Airlift and beating movies like Neerja and Ghayal Once again.
While metros are exceptional on Sunday even Mass areas did exceptionally well with Sunday being second highest of 2016 after Airlift.
Opening Day is 4th Highest of 2016 behind Airlift, Ghayal 2 and Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 and ahead of Neerja.
Most of this is again coming from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Kapoor and Sons has got very good reviews so that might give it a chance in multiplexes to improve over the weekend .
Kapoor and Sons was banking on the hit song Kar Gayi Chull to take an opening as both Siddharth and Alia although they have a star value are on down trend with their last outings ( Brothers and Shaandar) being flops but that has not happened.
With a T20 World Cup ongoing that too inside India attention is all on Cricket and less on Bollywood which has probably hurt the movie.
