PadMan is Producer by Twinkle Khanna under the own production house Mrs Funnybones Movies along with Sony Pictures Entertainment & KriArj. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor & Radhika Apte in key roles and Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a special role.
Apart from this Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in S. Shankar’s science fiction most expensive Indian film Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 also feature Amy Jackson, The first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D, whereas Sonam Kapoor will share the silver screen with Ranbir Kapoor in Untitled Sanjay Dutt Biopic.
PadMan is based on The Akshay Kumar's Wife Twinkle Khanna's book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham.
Biography on Tamil Nadu activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, whose mission was to provide sanitary napkin's to poor women of rural areas. Who would use rag cloths or leaves during periods where use of sanitary napkins was rare.
