The Sky Is Pink is a story about a couple and their daughter who suffers from a fatal disease. Directed by Shonali Bose, Sky Is Pink is being praised for many things. The film is based on motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The Sky Is Pink is the return of Chopra after a break of three years from Bollywood. Principal photography began in August 2018, and was completed on 11 March 2019. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 13 September 2019, and was released theatrically worldwide on 11 October.
It is based on the love story of a couple spanning 25 years, told through the lens of their spunky teenage daughter – Aisha Chaudhary, who was diagnosed with a Pulmonary fibrosis.
