Bachchan Pandey is a action-drama film it has been directed by Farhad Samji, who has previously worked with Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon in Housefull 4. It stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The cast also features actors Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, And Prateik Babbar. Bachchan Pandey is Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala's 10th project together after the Housefull series and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Akshay's eponymous character in the film Bachchan Pandey is a gangster who aspires to be an actor, while Kriti Sanon essays the role of a journalist, who harbours dreams of becoming a film director. Bachchhan Paandey was initially supposed to a remake of Tamil film Veeram but the makers altered the script to come up with an original idea. Later sources, however, report that Bachchhan Paandey is a remake of the Tamil film Jigarthanda. The title derives from a character of the same name, played by Kumar, in the 2008 actioner Tashan. The title was initially spelled Bachchan Pandey but was later changed to Bachchhan Paandey.

(10) Bachchan Pandey Story / Plot:
Bachchhan Paandey is the story of a ruthless gangster. Myra Devekar (Kriti Sanon) is an aspiring filmmaker who approaches producer Rakesh Verma (Ashwin Mushran) for her directorial debut. Rakesh advises her to make a gangster biopic. Myra begins research and this is when she stumbles upon Bachchhan Paandey (Akshay Kumar) who is a dreaded gangster in a town called Baghwa. Myra reaches Baghwa and with the help of a friend, Vishu (Arshad Warsi), she begins research on Bachchhan Paandey. Bachchhan seems too scary and hence, she begins approaching his gang members, Kandi (Saharsh Kumar Shukla), Bufferia Chacha (Sanjay Mishra), Pendulum (Abhimanyu Singh) and Virgin (Prateik Babbar). Virgin is the only one who speaks up and while providing information, he happens to share that Bachchan Paandey was once in love with a girl named Sophie (Jacqueline Fernandez). He claims that after they got into a tiff, he killed her. Meanwhile, Bachchhan Paandey finds out that Myra has been enquiring about her. Immediately, he assumes that she’s either a media person or a police spy. What happens next forms the rest of the film..
