Mission Mangal Budget & First Day Box Office Collection: Collects 29.16 Crore On Thursday
First day box office collection of The Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal has taken a huge opening at the Box Office. The film was expected to open in the range of 23-25 crores but Mission Mangal has collected approx 29.16 crore on day 1.
Mission Mangal is the incredible true story behind India’s mission to Mars. It shows how Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) together with a team of brilliant scientists successfully sent a satellite to Mars in their very first attempt, a mammoth feat achieved by no other nation. This is a tale of inspiration which shows how dreams transform into reality with a vision, the courage to pursue it and fulfill it with sheer determination.
With Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar has now beaten his own record of Gold which had released last year on same day 'Independence Day' and collected approx 25.25 crores on its opening day. The film has taken a very good start on its Independence Day release and in the process found itself right amongst the top Day One grossers of the year.
This is really good as the film was chasing with Batla House and still it has managed to exceed expectations. Mission Mangal is Akshay Kumar's fourth film in a row to have collected in upwards of 20 crores.
The Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal that was directed by Jagan Shakti released yesterday on Independence Day. Also featuring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen, the film opened on a good note.
Mission Mangal has surpass the collections of 2019's biggest released Kalank (21.60 crore) to become the second highest opening day grosser. Salman Khan's Bharat still holds the first position in top 10 highest grosing openind day bollywood movies 2019 list. Bharat had collected 42.30 cr in its opening day at the domestic box office.
The film opened on a good note with positive reviews from the critics. Mission Mangal has better collections than Kesari (21.06 crore), Gully Boy (19.40 crore), Total Dhamaal (16.50 crore), Student of the Year 2 (12.06 crore), Super 30 (11.83 crore), and De De Pyaar De (10.41 crore).
