Huma Qureshi is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi-language films. She was Born as Huma Saleem Qureshi on July 28, 1986, in New Delhi, India.She studied history at the University of Delhi's Gargi College. She worked as a theatre actor and model in Delhi before moving to Mumbai. She signed a two-year contract with Hindustan Unilever for television commercials.
She made her feature film debut in the two-part 2012 crime drama, Gangs of Wasseypur, which earned her nominations for three Filmfare Awards, including Best Supporting Actress and Best Female Debut. Her film career includes roles in Ek Thi Daayan (2013), Dedh Ishqiya (2014), Badlapur (2015), Jolly LLB 2 (2017), the Tamil film Kaala (2018), the American film Army of the Dead (2021), and Monica, O My Darling (2022).
She has starred in the dystopian drama series Leila (2019) and the crime drama series Maharani (since 2021), for which she won a Filmfare OTT Award. Her father, Saleem Qureshi, is a restaurateur who runs a chain of restaurants. Her brother, Saqib Saleem, is also an actor. She is reportedly dating acting coach Rachit Singh, with speculation about their engagement being reported in the media, though she has not officially confirmed the relationship.
