Velaikkaran is an Indian Tamil Language action thriller film. Directed by Jayam Raja and produced by R. D. Raja under the banner of 24AM Studios. The film features Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara & Sneha in lead role. Velaikkaran was released in theatres on 22 December, 2017.

Velaikkaran has been written by the Jayam Raja who is also at the screenplay and direction of the film. Jayam Raja previously helmed many Super Hit films like Thani Oruvan.
Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran was initially set to release on 29 September, 2017 on Pooja Holidays. In April 2017, the production house has announced that the release date is postponed to 29 October, 2017. Due to delays in post production the film's release date was shifted to 22 December, 2017.
