Article 15 is an Indian Hindi language Crime-Drama-Thriller film. Directed and Produced By Anubhav Sinha under the banner of Benaras Media Works Production & Zee Studios. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra & Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in lead role. Article 15 released worldwide on 28 June, 2019.

Ayushmann Khurrana shared the first look of the film on his twitter account on 6 March, 2019 And First look poster of Ayushmann Khurrana in the film was released on 27 May 2019, It also bears the release date of the film. The poster have tag line at top that reads as, "Farq bahut kar liya, ab farq laayenge".

(2) Article 15 Cast & Crew:
The film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Article 15 takes inspiration from true life events, including 2014 Badaun gang rape allegations and 2016 Una flogging incident. Ayushmann Khurrana, the protagonist, is playing a police officer in the film. Filming began on 1 March 2019 in Lucknow.
Article 15 has been co-written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. It was selected as the opening film for the 10th edition of London Indian Film Festival to be premiered on 20 June. It was theatrical released in India on 28 June 2019.

(6) Article 15 Story:
Article 15 is the story of a righteous cop trying to solve a caste-related crime. Ayan Ranjan (Played By Ayushmann Khurrana) is an IPS officer from Delhi who has been transferred to a village named Lalgaon in Uttar Pradesh as punishment posting. As soon as he joins duty, he comes to know about a case involving three missing girls from the Dalit community in the village. The cops out there don’t investigate the matter, citing that the case isn’t serious and the community often files false complaints. The next day however, the corpse of two of the missing girls – Shalu and Mamta – is found hanging on a tree. The third girl, Pooja, is missing. One of the girls from the community, Gaura (Played By Sayani Gupta) tells Ayan that these three girls used to work under the local contractor Anshu who used to pay them 25 per day. The girls then asked for a raise of just 3 but it was rejected by Anshu. Hence, they protested and left work. Gaura alleges that Anshu possibly violated the girls to teach them a lesson. Ayan decides to investigate the matter as he realizes that Gaura is indeed right. But officer Brahmdutt Singh (Played By Manoj Pahwa), working under Ayan, secretly tries to change the narrative of the crime. He plants a story in a newspaper that both the girls were in a same-sex relationship and that’s why their fathers killed them. In short, it was not a caste-related crime but honour killing is what he tries to prove. He also forces Dr. Malti Ram (Played By Ronjini Chakraborty) to change the post mortem report, although it’s clear that Shalu and Mamta had been repeatedly gang raped and then hung on the tree. Amidst all these challenges, Ayan attempts to solve the case and find Pooja. To top it all, a Dalit underground leader Nishant (Played By Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub) attacks police officer Jatav (Played By Kumud Mishra) and Ayan’s PA Mayank (Played By Ashish Verma) and sets their jeep on fire. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

*जब दलित पिता रोते हुए पुलिस ऑफिसर से बोलता है "साहब हमारी बेटी को उठाकर ले गए थे । रात भर रखकर सुबह वापस भेज देते न । मार क्यो डाला ??* "आर्टिकल 15" के इस डायलाग को सुनने के बाद थियेटर के अंधेरे में भी शर्म से सर झुक जाए । ग्रामीण इलाकों में दलितों की दुर्दशा से जो इंकार करता है उसका मतलब है उसने गाँव नही देखा है । फ़िल्म के एक दृश्य में जब दलित व्यक्ति गटर के काले पानी में नाक बंद कर डुबकी लगाता है पल भर को दर्शकों की आँखे बंद हो जाती है । यह दृश्य भीतर तक हिला देता है ।
ReplyDeleteब्राह्मणों ने फ़िल्म के विरोध में कई जगह प्रदर्शन किया । मुझे नहीं लगता के फ़िल्म कही से भी ब्राह्मण विरोधी है । फ़िल्म में कही भी सवर्णो जातियों को कोसा नही गया है ।
जाति विशेष को खलनायक बनाना फ़िल्म का मकसद नही है ।
असल में फ़िल्म अपने मूल मुद्दे से हटी ही नही । फ़िल्म का पूरा फोकस भारत के दूरस्थ गाँवों में दलितों की दुर्दशा , न्याय के लिए उनका संघर्ष और सिस्टम के भेदभाव पर है । फ़िल्म की कहानी जातिवाद , राजनीति और प्रशासनिक तंत्र पर रसूखदारों के कब्जे के चारों ओर घूमती है ।
यह फ़िल्म आज देश की सबसे बड़ी समस्या... "जातिगत भेदभाव और जाति की राजनीति " पर जबरदस्त तरीके से चोट पहुँचाती है । दलित समुदाय से जो लोग राजनीति करते हुए आगे बढ़ भी गए है तो वे अपने फायदे के लिए दूसरे राजनैतिक दलों से गठबंधन कर दलित संघर्ष को तिलांजलि दे सत्ता भोग रहे है । अपनी-अपनी जाति , धर्म के अगुआ नेता पद और सत्ता की खातिर रैलियाँ निकालते है और गठबंधन करते है । पूरी फिल्म में ऐसे कई डायलाग है जो हमारे देश की जहरीली राजनीति का निचोड़ है ।
"ये *साला पोजिशन वालों की अपनी ही एक जात है ।"*
" समस्या के बारे में बात करने वाला व्यक्ति सबसे बड़ी समस्या है ।"
" *हादसा ये नही है कि हादसा हो चुका है। उससे बड़ा हादसा तो ये है कि सब चुप है।"*
देश की राजनीति और वोटर्स की मानसिकता को भी खुलकर , बेझिझक दिखाया गया है । फ़िल्म का नायक अपने सहकर्मियों से पूछता है किसे वोट दिए थे । अलग अलग जाति के पुलिसकर्मी के अलग अलग जवाब --- फूल को दिए थे लेकिन वो साल जब हाथी से मिल गए तो सायकल को दिया था । फलाने को टिकट नही दिया तो हम वोट ही नही डाले । निराशा होती है सोचकर कि जब तक हमारे समाज में जातियाँ रहेंगी देश को निक्कमे और जहर बुझे नेता ही मिलेंगे । हम वोट देते समय मुद्दों का ध्यान नही बल्कि नेता की जाति का ध्यान रखते है ।
चालबाज़ लोग जाति और धर्म की राजनीति करके , समाज को बाँटकर ही सत्ता तक पहुँचते है ।
फ़िल्म की कहानी गौरव सोलंकी की लिखी हुई है और निर्देशक अनुभव सिन्हा है । हर दृश्य इतना वास्तविक कि दर्शक स्वयं को पुलिस थाने में महसूस करता है । देश की रग रग में बसे जातिवाद पर यह फ़िल्म गहरा प्रहार है । माना कि ऐसी फिल्में साल की सबसे बड़ी ओपनिंग नही करती लेकिन साल की सबसे अच्छी फिल्म की अग्रिम पंक्ति में खड़ी है ।
