The central plot revolves around a lethal showdown between two identical versions of Ranbir Kapoor. Aziz Haque, the youngest brother of the deceased Abrar Haque, has undergone extensive plastic surgery to look exactly like Ranvijay. Aziz, known as "the butcher from Istanbul," aims to infiltrate the Singh family and exact revenge for the deaths of his brothers, Abrar and Asrar. Aziz's goal is to replace Ranvijay and destroy the family from within, specifically targeting Balbir Singh.

​         The film is marketed as the "aakhri hissa" (final part) of the saga. It aims to provide a definitive resolution to the long-standing psychological chess match between the protagonist (Vijay Salgaonkar in Hindi; Georgekutty in Malayalam) and the authorities.
        The narrative picks up with the Salgaonkar/Georgekutty family still living under the shadow of past events. Despite years of successful deception, the emergence of new evidence or "unresolved threads" from the previous investigations forces the father to once again use his sharp wit and knowledge of cinema to protect his loved ones.
        Director Jeethu Joseph has hinted that the third installment will further challenge the protagonist's moral compass and explore how the family's lives have evolved roughly six to seven years after the events of Part 2.
        Both the Malayalam original (starring Mohanlal) and the Hindi remake (starring Ajay Devgn) will share the same storyline, with plans to shoot and release them simultaneously to avoid spoilers.
