Mission Mangal Budget & First Weekend Box Office Collection: Collects 97.56 Crore In 4 Days


First weekend *extended* box office collection of The Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal has has been doing roaring business at the Box Office. Mission Mangal had released on Independence [15 August, 2019] and received positive reviews from the audience and critics.

Mission Mangal is the incredible true story behind India’s mission to Mars. It shows how Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) together with a team of brilliant scientists successfully sent a satellite to Mars in their very first attempt, a mammoth feat achieved by no other nation. This is a tale of inspiration which shows how dreams transform into reality with a vision, the courage to pursue it and fulfill it with sheer determination.

This Jagan Shakti Direction venture film has collected 29.16 crore on day one, Thursday. On 2nd Day, The film has collected approx 17.28 crore and its 3rd day Saturday The film has collected approx 23.58 crores. The Akshay Kumar led film managed to collect 27.54 crores on its fourth day, Sunday. The film collected approx 97.56 crores till now. 

Collecting 97.56 crore, Mission Mangal has emerged as the 2nd highest opening weekend grosser of 2019 after Salman Khan film Bharat [158.65 crore]. Mission Mangal has beaten the collections of previous releases like, Kesari that collected 78.07 crore, Gully Boy that collected 72.45 crore, Kabir Singh that collected 70.83 crore, Kalank that collected 62.75 crore, Total Dhamaal that collected 62.40 crore, Super 30 that collected 50.76 crore, Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi that collected 41.35 crore, and Student of the Year 2 that had collected 38.83 crore.

With Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar has now beaten his own record of 2.0 [Hindi] which had released last year on 29 November, 2018 and collected approx 97.25 crores on its opening weekend. Mission Mangal has taken a very good start on its Independence Day release.

This is really good as the film was chasing with Batla House and still it has managed to exceed expectations. Mission Mangal is Akshay Kumar's fourth film in a row to have collected in upwards of 20 crores.

The Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal that was directed by Jagan Shakti released yesterday on Independence Day. Also featuring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen, the film opened on a good note.

The film opened on a good note with positive reviews from the critics. Mission Mangal has better collections than Kesari (21.06 crore), Gully Boy (19.40 crore), Total Dhamaal (16.50 crore), Student of the Year 2 (12.06 crore), Super 30 (11.83 crore), and De De Pyaar De (10.41 crore).
